Body
God is the Creator of the human body. It's in the Bible, Psalm 139:14, NIV. "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Our body is to be a living sacrifice. It's in the Bible, Romans 12:1, NIV. "I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship."
Spiritually your body belongs to God and serves as His temple. It's in the Bible, I Corinthians 6:19-20, NIV. "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body."
Physically your body belongs to your spouse. It's in the Bible, I Corinthians 7:2-4, NIV. "But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife."
After death our bodies will be brought back to life. It's in the Bible, I Corinthians 15:42, TLB. "In the same way, our earthly bodies which die and decay are different from the bodies we shall have when we come back to life again, for they will never die."
The body is an example of how the church should function. It's in the Bible, Romans 12:4-5, NIV. "Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."
